Chapter Members
General Position Summary:
Coordinates monthly programs and other chapter-sponsored
educational opportunities consistent with chapter goals for member development.
Essential Job Functions:
In conjunction with the Vice President,
selects and coordinates monthly programs that reflect human resource issues of
importance to chapter members.
If applicable, chairs Program Committee meetings to select
topics and speakers for monthly program and satellite meetings relevant to
chapter members and chapter goals.
Prepares arrangements for speakers as appropriate.
Attends all monthly meetings and introduces speaker at
chapter meetings.
Provides Public Relations Director information concerning
the program and speaker within appropriate deadlines for newsletter and
community publication.
Measures success of meeting members’ needs by soliciting
written feedback from members at each meeting. Reports results at board
meetings.
Conducts annual survey of members’ interests for planning
purposes.
Provides assistance to Legislative Affairs Director in
coordinating bi-annual conference if applicable.
Participates in the development and implementation of short
and long term strategic planning for the chapter.
Represents the chapter in the human resources community.
Essential Qualifications:
Must be a member in good standing.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
