General
Position Summary:
Serves as an appointed member of the chapter board.
Monitors and evaluates on a continuing basis local activities concerning
education issues and plans and encourages chapter involvement and activities
impacting the education arena. Presents an education report or update to the
Chapter President and fellow chapter members. Works in cooperation with the
chapter Legislative Affairs Representative in areas effecting education.
Essential
Job Functions:
Serves
as advocate and program coordinator for education at chapter activities and
other professioiial meetings.
Serves
as a mentor for Leadership Youth Board member.
Identifies
and evaluates education issues which impact workforce readiness and develop
goals for chapter education strategy.
Reports
on education issues to chapter members and serves as advocate at chapter
activities for education programs.
Services as a resource for chapter members on
education issues and provides leadership to the chapter on education issues.
Monitors
local activities concerning education and provides timely information on
education issues to his/her Chapter President and State Education Director.
Works
in close cooperation with State Education Director and the National Education
Task Force.
Develops
and supports workshops and seminars which addresses education issues.
Provides
special recognition for chapter members and for local programs that promote
betterment of workforce through educational process.
Responds
to any other requirements of the Chapter President and State Education
Director.
Essential
Qualifications:
Member
in good standing.
PHR
or SPHR certification preferred.
