The purpose of Columbia Willamette Compensation Group (CWCG) is to promote excellence and innovation in the compensation and benefits profession. SHRM is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 165,000 individual members, the Society serves the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available. As an influential voice, SHRM is committed to advancing the human resource profession to ensure that HR is an essential and effective partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 500 affiliated chapters within the United States and members in more than 120 countries. The Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) has a proud tradition and history of service to the human resource professionals in theNorthwestern United States and British Columbia dating from its formation in October 1939. The organization is composed of 28 chapters in the states of Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and the province of British Columbia (Canada). NHRMA is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Membership SHRM - Salem Chapter's (#165) membership is comprised of over 200 HR professionals located throughout the Salem area. The SHRMA chapter is defined as a 100% chapter since all SHRMA members are required to be active members of the national SHRM organization. Once a SHRM National Member, there is no specific fee for being associated with the Salem Chapter, however there are benefits for completing the designation form.
